Sandpoint Weavers’ Meeting – July 29, 2021

We met for the first time in over a year! (Dang COVID) We had a scrumptious potluck meal on Cherri’s lovely patio and afterwards shared our recent weaving and other fiber-related projects.

Recent Weaving and Other Fibery Projects:


Kathy, from Moscow ID, has been exploring cochineal dye.


Cherri’s friend made her a wonderful sheep.


Sue made samples in preparation for weaving a rug.


Lori came from Spokane and showed a felted vase and a silk/felt scarf.


Lorraine, from Hope ID, is weaving gorgeous silk scarves for her daughter’s wedding. Done so far (L to R) groomsmen scarves, the bride’s shawl and Lorraine’s mother of the bride shawl.


Lorraine has also been working with gradients and wove a rug with Pendleton selvedge strips.


Bobbi, from the Colville WA area, wove some lovely Tencel scarves.


Betty, also from Colville, wove some double-sided potholders. The three pictured show both sides of the same items! She also wove a colorful strap for her bag.


Jean, another Colville weaver, has been weaving weft-dominate runners and rugs.


Amy’s towels, placemats and rug are all lovely.


Kristie’s 6-shaft hand towels.


And Carol, from Moscow, has woven wine bags and colorful napkins.
