Sandpoint Weavers’ Meeting – Aug. 26, 2021

A small but delightful group of weavers enjoyed a potluck meal on Cherri’s patio. Afterwards we shared our recent weaving and other fiber-related projects. Attending this month: Cherri B., Sue G., Sandy G., Mary Catherine R., Linda S. and Kristie S.

Linda’s dimity towel graced basket of yummy muffins. She also brought the yarn that she has chosen for a gradient project for an online weave-along being offered Tien Chiu and Michele Belson

Kristie is also taking part in the gradient weave-along and brought a photo of the weaving she has started.

Mary Catherine wove a gorgeous selection of towels using a twill block threading. They show an amazing variety of pattern and color! She is also doing the gradient weave-along but hasn’t yet threaded her loom for that.

On a recent trip to the midwest, Sue visited the Weavers’ Guild of Minnesota and picked up a copy of their 75th anniversary book. Read more about the book here: www.weaversguildmn.org/resources/library/threadthroughtime

As we enjoyed food and beverages we were treated to some “give-away”yarn – thanks, Selma! Here’s Sandy looking at some lovely wool tweed.

Weavers will meet again in the Sandpoint area on Thursday, September 30. Please consider offering to host!
